This category is arranged alphabetically by state and only
the 48 contiguous states [including the District of Columbia] are offered. Historic - Culture - Arts. Museums or exhibits sponsored by government or civic groups. Also included are museums, performing arts, theaters, historic attractions, comedy clubs, etc. If a destination is lacking on total web sites available we could include More, see next. More. Other things to see or do. Could be rock climbing, bumper cars, movies. Hotels. This includes accommodations or lodging of all types including bed and breakfast. Dine. Restaurants including nightclubs. The rationale for the above arrangement is if the city does not have the historical or cultural activities that would interest you then the following pages would be of no interest. The criteria for inclusion is only that the destination be of sufficient interest to require an overnight stay. We would venture that four or five attractions including a battlefield, several museums and/or a guided or self tour to visit an historical event would qualify. It should be mentioned that attractions listed as More in other categories such as Beaches, Theme Parks, etc. include, but are not separated as to historic, cultural or art attractions. Following are two pages for the 48 states including the District of Columbia which is on the first page. Each of the cities included with the state are linked to their page. At the bottom of all city pages are links to Home, Historic cover page [this page] and the State Menu pages, Alabama to Montana [AZ to MT] and Nebraska to Wyoming [NE to WY]. Also check into the See-Do category because
many destinations might find their way into this category as explained on the
See-Do Menu page. |
